OLIVIER FAURE

Graduated from the National Conservatory of Bordeaux with Yves Didier and Richard Rimbert, Olivier Faure continued his studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory, where he earned his Master’s degrees in clarinet and bass clarinet performance, studying under Jan Jansen and Henri Bok.

He participated in numerous master classes, including those led by Josef Horak and Harry Sparnaay for bass clarinet, and Michel Lethiec and Walter Boeykens for the clarinet. In 1999, he received a bronze medal at the International Young Performers Competition in Luxembourg.

Since November 2002, he has been a member of the Mobile Gendarmerie Music Harmony Orchestra in Maisons-Alfort. He has been the co-soloist for the clarinet section since 2005.

Olivier Faure is a member of various ensembles, including Parioli Ensemble, Issy-Paris Clarinet Quartet, and the Denner Octet. He also regularly participates in orchestras in the Paris region such as the Colonne Orchestra, Massy Opera, Lamoureux Orchestra, the Orchestral Ensemble of the Hauts de Seine, and the French Oratorio Orchestra.

With a particular interest in contemporary music, in 2005, he created a Bass Clarinet and Organ Duo for the World Bass Clarinet Convention with the composer and performer Léonid Karev.

For the past 10 years, he has been arranging educational pieces for orchestra, harmony, and chamber music (duos, trios, wind quartets or clarinet quartets, sextets, octets). Currently, he teaches clarinet and bass clarinet at music schools in Bois d’Arcy (78) and Neuilly-Plaisance (93).
